Calgary Stampede Parade

Calgary stampede is the big event in Calgary as well as in Canada. It last for the whole 10 days. Its a cowboy event where cowboys ard the world will come together to challenge one another in competitions. During the whole event, the whole town seems to go into stampede mode, with shopping malls painted with cowboy pictures, peddlers selling cowboy hats,. It starts with a parade with showcase with various associations and organisations to free breakfast for the entire 10 days for all at designated shopping malls. Super exciting, super interesting..

This took place on a friday , woke up super super early so that i could get a good view of the parade. It was very cold, glad that i brought a sweater along. The day ended for me pretty sadly as my k750i got damaged after snapping abt 2000++photos..din stayed as i was pretty depressed over what happen and i did not bring any other cameras. Called Sony Ericsson Canada and they told me that it is impossible to get it fix and if they do, its gonna take like half a year!!

Parade of the calgary girls..every stampede the management will have a pageant and choose the girl of the year, so here in parade, they showcased the girls from all the pageants, from 2006 to 1960s..could see some of them have become pretty grandmothers, some of lost shape, some still as pretty as ever. =)
