Saturday and Sunday

I went for both days for Pastor Phil's weekend, but felt that i received more on the 1st day, 2nd day was more like icing to the cake, Pastor repeated some points and emphasize on some of the points.

Always enjoyed Pastor Phil's messages, its gettting better each time he comes back! Ya this time round he din talk about betsy the cow or stanley the horse. The main subject he covered this time round was on Prayer. How true is that when he mentioned that the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. It really din occurred to me that they din ask Jesus to teach them other stuff like healing, or to multiply food or even to preach the gospel but instead to pray. Prayer covers everything. It links you up with God.

If you want to draw in the presence of God, Pray! Praying in tongues is like having a direct line with God. In tongues, you speak mysteries but it's just between you and God.

How often we hate when we call customer service with computer generated responses. Recently call UOB hotline up to tell them i need a replacement on my debit.. The usual computer generated response came up as expected " press 1 for english, press 2 for chinese......press 1 for promotions, press 2 for visa electron......press 3 for internet banking......" We often had to wait till they say press "0" to speak to their customer service officer that will assist us. Then again we have to wait

I find this so closely linked with our walk with God. More often than never, in the same cellgroup meeting, some of the members will feel the presence of God strongly, some will be touch by God and wept, some will feel nothing special while some others do not know what is going on.

The same cellgroup setting with no change in variables led to different results. I feel that this is mainly on the relationship you have with God. Pastor once mentioned that Pastor Cho prays for at least 3 hrs everyday, which explains why he has such an intimate relationship with God. Before he preaches, he just need to say a simple prayer to call upon the Holy Spirit, and led the multitudes in the presence of God.

There are periods in my walk with God which i felt it took me longer to get into God's presence. It seems like i have to go through the multiple levels of music and automated replies of "Pls hold". Of course, there is nothing wrong as it still leads you to God

There are times in my life when its easy to get into the presence of God but it drops as if there are interferences, just like an overseas call. There is a lag in the call. It shows the distance you are with God. Are you at overseas with God?

And there are times when its so easy to soar in the spirit, to be led, so sensitive to the holy spirit, not during prayer but every single moment with Him. That is just like a direct line to the CEO.
Really prayed that this coming year, it would be like this, having a direct line, calling upon the CEO. My Chief Executing Officer. He executes, not me. When i speaks, there will be power and presence, because the Holy Spirit overflows!


Just bought the Pastor Phil's Holy Spirit Book. Ya together with the cd. Will touch the book next week after my exams... The cd is totally awesome. Has listened it from front to back a couple of times le.
